We are on an Imagination Train for new possibilities and creations.

This is a way-station place where travelers have passed for 7,000 - 10,000+ years along the Siskiyou Trail, and today via trains, the I-5, the Sacramento River, and the Mexico-to-Canada Pacific Crest Trail. We are a place to mingle for a moment and to remember the possibility of care between people, the water, and the land.

56 years ago, in 1968, this “railroad park” was created by moving original train cabooses into our spring-fed-stream valley and retrofitting them for sleeping, dining, and as a base to explore the wider region. As of January 2024, we have new ownership and have added the joy of Jubilee to become Jubilee Railroad. In 2024, and now too in 2025, we received the Traveler’s Choice award for consistently receiving top 10% reviews - thank you for the welcome!

Last year, local Dunsmuir-ians, (& regular performers in the Dining Car), Allison Scull & Victor Martin, released the song A Nation of Jubilation to describe the joy of finding good people across many places:

“We have so much more in common than not
Have we forgotten?
It’s our nation of jubilation
Let’s Dance and sing to life’s creation”

We couldn’t agree more!

Jubilee definition: Joy, celebration, festival, jubilation & cherries “jubilee”; The term for the annual honoring of the 1863 emancipation proclamation; The word in Abrahamic religions, (including Christianity, Islam, Judaism), that describes debt & servitude forgiveness; The word that translates from the oldest Egyptian papyrus scroll to mean,
“the moment we remember who we really are”.

We hope to see you soon!
